In order to use your Glass when you are out traveling, you must connect it to your phone's Personal Hotspot so that it can share your phone's Internet connection.

  1. Go to Settings, then Personal Hotspot.
  2. Make sure Personal Hotspot is switched on
  3. The text below the switch will tell you the name of your Personal Hotspot. You must note down this name along with the "Wi-Fi Password" in the field below it to add to the Aira app.
  4. Open the Aira App.
  5. Switch to the Wi-Fi tab on the app’s bottom navigation bar.
  6. Press the “Add” button on the top left.
    1. Type is “Hotspot”
    2. Network name is the name of your Personal Hotspot
    3. Security Type is "WPA2"
    4. Password is the "Wi-Fi Password" of your Personal Hotspot
    5. Press "Save" in the top right and and select the newly added network from the list on this screen.
  7. If you have iOS 9, the Aira app will automatically return to your Personal Hotspot screen. Wait on this screen until a bar is present at the top announcing a connection to your Personal Hotspot. At that point you can return to the Aira app and call an Aira agent once the status changes to "Glass Connected".
  8. If you have iOS 10, the Aira app will prompt you to switch back to the Personal Hotspot screen. Once you have switched, wait on this screen until a bar is present at the top announcing a connection to your Personal Hotspot. At that point you can return to the Aira app and call an Aira agent once the status changes to "Glass Connected".
